I remember a little record player with a 45 spinning and the sound coming out captured my imagination. The record was Your Cheatin Heart Hank Williams. That was my earliest recollection of music. My dad played Guitar in a Gospel group in the early 70’s and I remember 2 songs they sang very vividly they were Light House and Just a Little Talk with Jesus. I can still hear my Dad and see myself singing at the top of my lungs sitting in a little church and dreaming of the day I would have a song to put on the record player. Well over 40 years later that dream has come true. I played for many years in the bars and now play in Churches and other venues. I moved to Nashville to Pursue a Country Music career and God had other plans.
My Momma told me the whole time I was playing in the bars “If you Sing for Jesus He’ll give you the Desires of your heart.” Turns out Momma was right. Some of the songs on this my first album were written before I was Living a Real Christian Lifestyle I think God was preparing me. They are a Labor of Love over many Years. I Thank God for allowing me to express my Love for Him in this way and Hope you get something from the words in the songs. |
