Friends, I had visited the Flying Circle G Ranch in Walls Mississippi about 30 minutes south of Graceland many times since 1989 which was the first time I went there.. I have always felt drawn to it and I am not sure why.. Elvis only owned it from February 1967 to March of 1968 and really only spent 3-5 months of total time there.. I think it was the fairytale feeling of all of the things i saw there.. Like the Huge Cross that has been said to be erected by a former owner for a family who lost a child, the bridge that Elvis had built to get the horses over the lake, the stories I read about the Memphis Mafia getting trailers to stay in and everyone getting horses and Ranchero pick up trucks.. The cool grill with the large E & P made out of bricks that the MM had built for Elvis.. Also the story of Priscilla's ring getting thrown in the lake.. I made this video of a conglomeration of several times I visited the property.. I am digging into the real history of the items  and will do a follow-up video of all of my findings in the future so stay tuned but enjoy the beauty of the ranch as it is today.. #spaguy #tytyvm #tightenup

Friends, I remember as a 12 Year old boy reading the story of Elvis and Scotty Moore meeting the very first time.. I imagined what that meeting looked like in my head and always wondered what the place they met really looked like instead of having to use my imagination.. When I started back making Elvis History videos I started looking for this place.. All of the information I could find showed Scotty's address as 983 Belz in Memphis.. It turns out there are two different Belz named streets in Memphis one close to the Firestone plant which is what Scotty's account of that day in his book suggests and the other far north of town.. I decided to go find the Belz Court address close to the Firestone plant. The I arrived I tried to line up the number of the 983 address but the numbers there were not even close. I then decided that the numbers had changed over the years and filmed the location as if it was correct. I then went back to my hotel and researched more finding that even though it was close to the Firestone plant it was not the correct place and that my thoughts of things changing was correct but the change was actually the street name not the numbers. I went on a search for what the name had changed to and searched out at the Memphis library as well asking people in the know. I finally found out what the name of the street changed to and planned to go to the street and see if I could line up the house numbers and the apartments with Scotty's account of what the apartment looked like.. Here is where someone writing a detailed historical account of anything  is so important.. In Scotty's book he described the apartment as  quadraplex meaning 4 units in one building and he described the layout of the apartment.. To my surprise 983 Eldridge Street lined up perfectly with his description.. When I saw that it was indeed 4 units in one building and the number was 983 which is an unusual number for a 2 block street It hit me that this was the place. I knocked on the door and even saw someone in the house look out at me through the curtains but they would not come to the door. I was very excited but went on to film other things and came back later that day... I knocked on the door again. This time the front door was open and the metal security door was closed but I could see through it.. I knocked a young man came out and I told him about the history of the apartment and asked If I could film and he said yes.. There was a large dog there names Smokey and a really nice lady living there too.. They allowed all of us to go in and relive history that day and I am posting the video here for you to see.
